National Grid Monroe Station Upgrade

National Grid converted the Monroe station from high voltage Direct Current conversion yard to an Alternating Current terminal. Daniel O’Connell’s Sons served as the Civil subcontractor to the construction manager and was responsible for a portion of the foundation installation work. Thirty structure foundations and two transformer containment systems were installed as part of an expedited schedule to meet the plant outage schedule.
