National Grid Comerford Station Upgrade

National Grid replaced twelve 230 kV Oil Circuit Breakers in a project updating the facility in Comerford, NH. Daniel O’Connell’s Sons served as the Civil subcontractor to the construction manager and was responsible for the demolition and replacement of foundations for the new units. The project was sequenced over several scheduled outages in order to keep the station live and online. Initial earth moving and demolition work required trained personnel to handle contaminated materials.
