Upper Blackstone WWTF
The Upper Blackstone Water Pollution Abatement District is in the midst of a multi-phased wastewater improvement program designed to meet more stringent national pollutant discharge requirements. Daniel O’Connell’s Sons is the acting CM at Risk for Phase III of this project, which includes upgrades & improvements to the solids management facilities. Phase III work includes upgrades to the dissolved air flotation units for waste activated sludge thickening, new belt filter presses and associated sludge dewatering equipment, modifications to sludge storage and pumping systems, modifications to the ash handling system for the multiple hearth furnaces, and odor control for sludge handing.
