Bennington College - CAPA

The Center for the Advancement of Public Action (CAPA) at Bennington College is a complex of three small buildings. The largest structure totals 10,000 sq-ft and houses classrooms, seminar and conference space, lounges, and kitchen facilities. The small conference space is equipped with broadcasting and recording capabilities. The exterior of the building is clad in recycled Vermont marble. In anticipation of many visiting lecturers, the CAPA project also included a residence facility to provide accommodations for short-term visits. The residence facility includes three apartments and kitchen facilities. The final building, The Lens, is a flexible room for seminars, performances, and/or meditation.
