Winthrop Building at 7 Water Street
Complete restoration of the facade of this historic nine-story, century-old building including replacement of the brick-work, cast iron, terra cotta, structural steel, and all windows. The building also recieved a new roof, waterproofing, fire protection system, and elevators. All work was completed by DOC while the building was occupied and fully operational. Individual pieces of the facade were painstakingly removed, numbered, fabricated anew where needed, then replaced in the original numbered location, with full documentation to the owner.
